This year I went to the Colwall Orchard Group's Wassailing event. It was fantastic, there were about 200 hundred of us parading from the green to the old orchard to give cider from last years' harvest to the granfather tree. Maidens put bread in its bowes, there was a bonfire and we sand Wassailing songs in the barn afterwards. If you live in Hereford, Worcester or Gloucester and you have never done it then try and do it next year. You willl love it.
